Why I Cancelled Stitch Fix

Happy hump day! Thank god the week is halfway over! Tomorrow is the Anthropologie fashion show down at Lenox Mall and I'm stoked!  Then I work from home all next week since my little people have spring break, YAY! Let's hope the remainder of this week goes by fast so I can bust outta here!

This post won't have any pretty pictures and it's kind of a vent.  Well Not a vent just facts really so feel free to comment with your Stitch Fix thoughts.  I know most of you love your stitch fix subscriptions and that's cool. I gave it a shot for about 6 months and finally I have decided cancel my Stitch Fix subscription....for good!

Being a fashion/style blogger my main goal is to "share" my style with my readers in hopes of giving them tips and inspiration.  I know myself as a reader of many other style & beauty blogs.......I look to bloggers for style inspiration or products referrals.  If they have a piece that I love or a product they swear by most likely I want to purchase the same item.

Black on Black - Over the Knee Boots

Steve Madden 'Gorgeous' Over the Knee Boots
Fieldcrest Wood Watch - Zebrawood and Maple

Black Over the Knee Boots, similar HERE // Shoulder Cutout Top // Versace Sunglasses // Black Skinny Jeans, similar HERE // Fringe Bag, designer version HERE // Jord Wood Watch

Who doesn't like black on black??? I'm so feeling black on black lately.  OTK's with faux leather leggings are one of my favorite looks right now.  Here I paired my black Steve Madden Over the Knee Boots with an amazing pair of  Black Jeans I got in my September Stitch Fix.  I also have these boots in taupe and they are both amazing. These boots are a dupe of the Stuart Weitzman 'Highland' OTK's but much more affordable.  I definitely plan to invest in a pair of Stuart Weitztman boots but the Steve Madden's are amazing and I was able to walk in them for a long time so they are quite comfy.  I would suggest going up a half size if you buy them because they do run small.  I usually wear a 5.5 in shoes and I purchased a 6 which is perfect!

My Watch is from Jord Wood Watches and it is absolutely gorgeous! Mine is the Fieldcrest Series Watch in Zebrawood & Maple and you can still purchase my exact one HERE. I posted about it HERE but if you missed the giveaway you can always check them out here! This watch is lovely for fall.  The wood is dark and earthy and goes with just about any outfit!

I also got that lovely Mustard/Camel-Colored fringe bag in the same Sept. Stitch Fix.  That is another dupe of the Chloe Hudson Mini Fringe Bag which you all know that I am OBSESSED with.  The color looks like a mustard color in photos but in person (IMO) it's somewhere between mustard and camel.....but gorgeous all the same!

Minimal Fall Look - Plum Cardigan & Ripped Jeans

Stitch Fix Plum Cardigan & Black Tee

Two blog posts in one day?  I'm on fire today! Actually I'm not........but I am feeling a little productive so hey why not!  By the way it is still deathly hot in Atlanta which has made it somewhat difficult to shoot fall looks.  These photos were taken in 95 degrees with humidity so my hair was not happy about that! Because of the heat I decided to go minimal on the accessories with this look too.

My plum cardigan and black tee are both super soft and slinky.  I love the color of the cardigan and the cut is really nice because it has slits down the side which I love.  Both came in my September Stitch Fix....and I happened to keep everything they sent because it was all AMAZING! If you are not familiar with Stitch Fix it is a monthly styling service where they send you clothing based on your taste and suggestions you give them and you only pay for what you keep.  You pay a monthly styling fee of $20 but that $20 does go towards your items if you decide to keep anything.  You also get 25% off if you keep everything.  Because I did keep everything I got this month I got a great deal.  I plan on posting the other items in a later post though.  If you are interested in signing up for Stitch Fix you can click on the link below!

Coach Cross-Body Styled with Ripped Jeans

Coach Cross-Body Bag (Similar) // Versace Sunglasses

I paired the tee and cardigan with a pair of black fringe boots I got last year from H&M, Ripped Jeans from Buckle & a cross-body bag from Coach.  The boots are a dupe of these YSL Boots, but I linked a similar pair above and below that are at a much lower price.  The cross-body bag is actually from their men's line but it's perfect and I love it.  This is one of my every day go-to bags since it's such good quality and stands up really well to every day wear and tear!

I hope you enjoyed this simple fall look!
