Minimal Fall Look - Plum Cardigan & Ripped Jeans

Stitch Fix Plum Cardigan & Black Tee

Two blog posts in one day?  I'm on fire today! Actually I'm not........but I am feeling a little productive so hey why not!  By the way it is still deathly hot in Atlanta which has made it somewhat difficult to shoot fall looks.  These photos were taken in 95 degrees with humidity so my hair was not happy about that! Because of the heat I decided to go minimal on the accessories with this look too.

My plum cardigan and black tee are both super soft and slinky.  I love the color of the cardigan and the cut is really nice because it has slits down the side which I love.  Both came in my September Stitch Fix....and I happened to keep everything they sent because it was all AMAZING! If you are not familiar with Stitch Fix it is a monthly styling service where they send you clothing based on your taste and suggestions you give them and you only pay for what you keep.  You pay a monthly styling fee of $20 but that $20 does go towards your items if you decide to keep anything.  You also get 25% off if you keep everything.  Because I did keep everything I got this month I got a great deal.  I plan on posting the other items in a later post though.  If you are interested in signing up for Stitch Fix you can click on the link below!

I paired the tee and cardigan with a pair of black fringe boots I got last year from H&M, Ripped Jeans from Buckle & a cross-body bag from Coach.  The boots are a dupe of these YSL Boots, but I linked a similar pair above and below that are at a much lower price.  The cross-body bag is actually from their men's line but it's perfect and I love it.  This is one of my every day go-to bags since it's such good quality and stands up really well to every day wear and tear!

I hope you enjoyed this simple fall look!

Lace Up Flats for Any Budget

Flats have always been one of my favorite go-to shoes because sometimes you really just don't want to wear heels but you are really not going for full on "sneaker casual". They are perfect because they are just the right amount of sophisticated yet casual and can be worn on date nights, shopping trips, to work, while traveling......really just about anywhere!

Right now one of the biggest trends in flats are lace-up pointed toe flats and in a perfect world we would probably all be wearing the Valentino Rockstuds or the Aquazzura Belgravias......but most of us are not spending $900 on 1 pair of shoes.  We can still dream though, right?

Valentino - Rockstud // Aquazzura - Belgravia // Aquazzura - Christie
Michael Kors - Kallie // Salvatore Ferragamo - Claire // Manolo Blahnik - Aneska

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Halogen is probably the top contender right now in this style of flat that is a more mid-range price.   They are not super expensive but they are also not cheap but their signature lace-up flats will run you close to $90 a pop!  I won't lie,  I do own 2 pairs of the Halogen ones but Steve Madden also has a few styles coming in slightly less at around $80 each......but if $80 for a pair of shoes is still too much their are tons of other affordable options out there!

Steven Madden - Sunshine // Vince Camuto - Emmari // Halogen - Owen
Sole Society - Georgina // BP - Katrina // Lucky Brand - Aviee

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not only do I have the two Halogen pairs from Nordstrom, but I also have a few pairs from H&MASOS, Revolve, Target .....even Charlotte Russe & Forever 21 also have several gorgeous options that won't break the bank!

Target - Kady // H&M - Suede Ballet Flats // H&M - Pointed Flats
ASOS - New Look Pointed Pump // Charlotte Russe - Lace Up Pointed Toe Flat

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The H&M Pointed Flats with Lacing that I'm wearing above are ON SALE NOW - $34.99 $19.99

All in all this is a style that won't be going anywhere anytime soon! Are you guys totally as in love as I am with lace-up flats? Would you take the splurge or steal?????

Drop Waist LOFT Dress & Chloe Hudson Bag Dupe

Hey ladies Happy Tuesday! I hope you are all enjoying all the NYFW posts all over social media. For now I'm living vicariously through all of you bloggers that have flocked to NYC. It's so crazy how I lived 10 minutes from Manhattan and never really appreciated NYC until I moved to Georgia 4 years ago. If we still lived up North, New York Fashion Week would be an easy day trip......but alas.....I have to watch all the events from afar. For now.

In the meantime I have another super easy fall look that is perfect for this transitional weather period.  For us here in Georgia the weather has dropped into the upper 80's instead of upper 90's and I cannot be happier.  I know 80 degree temps for most of you is your entire summer but it's a much needed cool down for us.

Dandelion Drop Waist Loft Dress

I was almost tempted to throw on a cardigan over this look.......ALMOST.  It's still a bit warm for layers but THIS DRESS is sleeveless and lightweight which is why I love it so much.  I bought it a few months ago in LOFT and it was actually part of their summer collection.  I'm not really sure why because for me it doesn't have much of a summery feel to it, in my opinion.  The burnt orange color totally screams fall.....but I'm sure some of you could style it to work during summer.

Dandelion Drop Waist Loft Dress & Fringe Bag

I paired this dress with my favorite black leggings and these gorgeous cognac suede booties from Target.  The booties also come in black and you can purchase them HERE.

This look also works for any occasion.....work, church, a day of shopping or a night out with your guy! I love everything about this look...but my favorite part is the silhouette.

This dress has a drop-waist and I would say it's somewhat of a shift dress.  Shift dresses are perfect for any body type because they do not have a defined shape.  If you have curves and wish to tone them down or if you have no curves at all, this type of dress is a great option for you and its short length still gives a bit of sexiness too!  I also had to pair it with that Chloe Hudson Bag dupe I posted about HERE.  It's seriously perfect!

Fringe Bag and Boots

Stay tuned because later this week I have another great "Splurge vs. Steal" for you as well as one of my favorite hair tools I've been using lately!

Faux Leather Leggings - A Simple Edgy Look for Any Season

Hope you all had a lovely Labor Day Weekend! We sure did.  It's was one of those lazy weekends doing nothing which happen to be my favorite! I'm definitely a home body. Although we did take the kids out to eat Sunday and then we went house hunting which was fun....but it just made me long to get out of this rental even more.  Soon enough though.

However, we are in September ....FINALLY....even though it's still technically summer and Atlanta is boiling with temps still in the upper 90's.  Hopefully it will start to cool down soon so we can start layering and really get into the swing of fall fashion!

If it's still sweltering wherever you are this look works for any season really! It's really simple yet still edgy.  I'm so obsessed with leather ....or faux leather leggings right now because you can wear them with just about anything and if you go for faux leather you are more than likely getting a lightweight pair which is what I prefer especially in this heat.  These leggings I purchased at Forever 21 and I loved them so much that I bought several pairs.  They aren't too thick but are still thick enough with a good amount of stretch to them.

My Utility Blouse is from Aeropostale and has a chambray look to it but it's more of a silk material and not so much a chambray.  I also love the longer length in the back because when it comes to leggings I'm a firm believer your bum should be covered, if you are wearing them as pants.  Adding to this look is this amazing faux leather fringe backpack.  I see these almost daily and I actually got this one FREE!  Well, actually, my hubby got it free as a promo item from Victoria's Secret when he bought me some things for Christmas.  This little backpack is the perfect size and if you're a mom like me it's perfect because it fits a lot in it and you can just toss it over your shoulder and go!

The black booties are also one of my favorite parts of this look.  I got these last year in H&M and believe it or not they still have them in some of the stores.  I paid full price but I'm 99.9% sure they are clearance now.  You can't see really well but they are black suede in the front and the back is like a black tortoise shell texture....ADORABLE! These are one of my go to booties for fall and winter because they pair well with jeans, leggings or dresses and can be worn with casual looks or for an evening out!

I'm also wearing my favorite Cat Eye Versace Sunglasses the hubby got me and this amazing tribal style bib necklace.....also from Forever 21! They have several similar style of necaklaces like this one ....but this was my fave!!

Next week I'm hoping to bring you some more fall styles......and hopefully this weather will cooperate and drop a bit! Until then .....I know you are all excited for New York Fashion Week!  It starts tomorrow and now is when I really miss living 10 minutes from Manhattan.  I must admit I'm a little jealous of everyone that will be there in person but you can also watch the events online HERE!
